A Real Treat: "The Best Day Ever!"

As you well know our kindergartners advocated for themselves to wear their Halloween costumes and attend the AFS Halloween Parade.  It was meant to be that we would run into Crissy in the hallway on Tuesday morning so the children could speak their minds and let her know of their daily plea.  Crissy listened as they explained all about their costumes and how cute they were going to be and how much they wanted to go to the parade.  Then, much to their delight, Crissy responded with, "Do you know what?  I absolutely love Halloween!  And I think it would be great if you were to join us on this most special occasion."  The children were thrilled!!  And the day was everything it promised to be.  Wonderful, adorable costumes, family members, the AFS commmunity and we were even IN the parade!  It was so exciting to walk with our friends from 11th Grade and wave to everyone along the route.  Then we went to join our EC friends at the Fall Fest!  Wow!  We carved pumpkins, had lots of treats, sang ghostly songs in Music and read Halloween tales.  It was the "best day ever!"  Thank you, Crissy, for hearing the children's voices and honoring their request!!
